VEGA is now in a position to provide Energy Performance Certificates through our team of Accredited Assessors.

Our Assessors work within the requirements of the National Operational Standard and work using the RD SAP Methodology to ensure repeatability.

Data collected is then uploaded onto the National Database and the Certificate generated.

The Certificate will include

reference values and benchmarks in order to allow comparison with other properties.

Domestic Energy Facts

Home Information Packs (HIPs)

From 1st August 2007 in England and Wales, the law will require sellers of residential properties, with four bedrooms or more, to have a Home Information Pack (HIP) before putting their homes up for sale.
The Government has introduced the HIP as part of wider reforms to cut carbon emissions from home – currently 29% of UK carbon emission comes from domestic properties.
It is a legal requirement to have a Domestic Energy Performance Certificate within your HIP.

Note: It will be a legal requirement for all rented property to have an Energy Performance Certificate from 1st January 2008.

Domestic Energy Performance Certificates

The Domestic Energy Certificate has been created as a result of an EU Directive.

This directive became European Law as of 4th January 2003 and member states had “because of a lack of accredited experts” an additional 3 years to comply.
