VEGA are the only company in the UK to have achieved Certified Contractor Status in the field of Cleanroom Performance Testing, from the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB).
The NEBB is currently the only worldwide body to offer any form of relevant accreditation for Cleanroom Performance Testing Contractors.
NEBB Certified Cleanroom Performance Testing Supervisors (CPTS) have undergone training, including practical and written examinations, to demonstrate operational competence in a full range of cleanroom activities. CPT Supervisors are also able to train technicians, via an internal training and quality assurance scheme, to perform site work acting as Certified Contractors.
Field technicians are given extensive on-the-job training and regular in-house re-training, under the guidance of the Quality Manager and CPT Supervisors, forming an integral part of our quality scheme.
VEGA are United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited for particle counting, bulk asbestos fibre sampling and identification, airborne asbestos fibre sampling and counting, and surveying for asbestos in premises (certificate numbers 1634 and 278).
All VEGA 'Lead Surveyors' hold the British Institute of Occupational Hygiene (BOHS) P402 'Proficiency Certificate in Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos'.
VEGA participates in the Regular Inter-laboratory Counting Exchange (RICE) scheme, administered by the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), and are designated a Class 1 laboratory.
IOM manages the RICE scheme for the Health and Safety Executive. The current standing of Vega Environmental Consultants Ltd. in the scheme can be verified by visiting IOMs website.
